Have you ever wanted to quickly assign a custom icon to one of your HC3 devices or QuickApps, without digging into the device settings one by one? That's exactly what Icon Customizer does.
This QuickApp provides a clean and visual interface to browse all your custom uploaded icons, select a target device or QuickApp, preview the result before applying, and restore the original icon with a single click if you change your mind.
The interface is built around two dropdown menus: one to select the source icon, and one to select the target device or QuickApp.
A visual confirmation table shows both icons side by side, so you always know exactly what you're about to do. The Apply button only becomes visible when the icon set size matches the target device, preventing any mismatch that could break the visual state indicators of your devices (open/closed, on/off, etc.).
There, you may click on the target device icon to see its full details in context. However, this does not work for hidden devices.
Once an icon is assigned, a Cancel button immediately becomes available to restore the original icon (including its original path, source and state). The Cancel option will disappear if you select any other icon or target device in the dropdowns.
An Advanced Options section is also available for users who set up their Base64-encoded credentials in the Base64Auth variable. This unlocks the ability to display previously uploaded icons that are no longer assigned to any device (useful if you want to reuse or clean up your icon library).
To enable Advanced Options, you will need to set the Base64Auth variable with your HC3 credentials encoded in Base64. To do so, go to https://www.base64encode.net and encode your credentials in the form username:password
If this is something new to you, make sure you get it right and try encoding MyLogin:MyPassword1234 first; you should get exactly TXlMb2dpbjpNeVBhc3N3b3JkMTIzNA== as a result. Once you get that, you know the tool works correctly and you can encode your own credentials the same way.
When you import this .fqa file, make sure that "Use the new views in mobile application" remains unchecked in the QA Advanced Settings.

On each startup, the QA automatically checks whether a newer version is available and displays a direct download link in the interface if an update is found.
Also note that this QA is best used locally on a computer, as remote access or smartphone use may cause display issues due to the HTML-based interface.
The QuickApp icon is installed automatically when importing the .fqa file.
However, the icon is also included separately as a .png file inside the ZIP archive, in case you wish to reassign it manually or customize it later.
I'm not a professional programmer — I created this QuickApp for my own use during my spare time.
There are probably bugs hiding somewhere, and the QA may occasionally crash or behave unexpectedly.
If you'd like to help improve or debug it, you're more than welcome.
And if you enjoy this QA, feel free to leave a rating or a review, and even help me focus while coding by buying me a coffee ♥ ![]()
