Onkyo QuickApp
INTRODUCTION
Onkyo has a range of network connected Audio/Video receivers that can be controlled via a network UTP connection. This QuickApp provides basic control of the A/V receiver.
Tested on an Onkyo TX-NR616.
QuickApp should be easy to adapt to other models if required.
This is my first QuickApp, any suggestion to make it better highly appreciated.
PREREQUISITES

Tested on Fibaro Home Center HC3L and Yubii Home with firmware 5.071.52

Hi There is an Excel file going around with all the Only commands for different models, like here: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/onkyo-875-rs232-and-pc-control.1164841/ However, I did not find any command list for the model you reference, HT-R993. Maybe you want to contact Onkyo an the can provide something, I did a google search, but did not find anything,
It does not work with the TX-RZ840 series ;-(

TX-830 is working with below solution: local command = "ISCP\0\0\0\16\0\0\0\9\1\0\0\0!1" .. strToSend .."\r" -- the method for sending data to the Onkyo device changed to: local command = "ISCP\0\0\0\16\0\0\0\12\1\0\0\0!1" .. strToSend .."\0x1A\r\n" -- the method for sending data to the Onkyo device
hi, do you think it can work with HT-R993? i'm trying with HC3 5.070.42, it does not work but i don't understand if Onkyo HT-R993 can be used for this application, Thank you
