1. Overview

Health Monitor V 2.5.2 is a comprehensive, standalone diagnostic Quick App designed for the FIBARO Home Center. Built with highly optimized code, it acts as a "watchdog" for your smart home gateway. It continuously tracks system resources (CPU, RAM, Storage), internal API latency, and network device statuses. More than just a monitoring tool, it features a smart "Auto-Reboot" mechanism to automatically recover your HC from memory leaks, CPU overloads, or thread hangs—ensuring your smart home remains stable 24/7 without requiring manual intervention.

2. Key Features

  • True Local Monitoring: Measures internal API latency directly within the HC core without relying on the internet, DNS, or external servers.
  • Smart Auto-Reboot (Strike System): Uses a sophisticated counting system to prevent false alarms. It only triggers a reboot if CPU or RAM exceeds critical thresholds (e.g., >90% or >95%) continuously for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Anti Boot-Loop Protection: Features a strict 2-hour cooldown lock to protect your hardware's flash memory from continuous reboot cycles during severe system failures.
  • Dead Device Tracking: Separated, lightweight 15-minute polling loop to detect dead or disconnected Z-Wave nodes, Quick Apps, and IP Cameras without overloading the RAM.
  • Advanced RAM Optimization: Utilizes API batching, RAM caching, and strict garbage collection (collectgarbage) to keep the Quick App's own memory footprint exceptionally low.

3. UI Breakdown & Visuals

The dashboard is designed for high readability on both mobile apps and web browsers using creative text-based visuals:

  • ❤️ Health Status: Displays the overall system state (🟢 Normal, 🟡 Warning, 🟠 Critical, 🔴 Emergency).
  • 🌐 Gateway & Latency: Shows real-time connection status and API response time in milliseconds.
  • 📊 Emoji Progress Bars: Visually represents CPU Load, RAM Usage, and Free Storage using clean emoji blocks (🟩/).
  • 📜 Device Status: A quick summary of dead vs. total devices across Z-Wave, Quick Apps, and IP networks.
  • ⏱️ Uptime & History: Displays current gateway uptime and precisely logs the timestamps of the last 3 Home Center reboots.
  • 🛠️ Toggle Button: A dedicated button to instantly enable/disable the Auto-Reboot feature.

4. Variables Configuration

Upon installation, the Quick App automatically generates the required variables. You only need to configure the following three:

  • PushUserIDs: The ID(s) of the user(s) who should receive push notifications (e.g., 2 or 2, 54 for multiple users).

(Note: Variables like AutoRebootEnabled, LastRebootTime, LastBootTimestamp, and RebootHistory are automatically managed by the system. Do not modify them manually).
