Multi-room Audio and Control Systems

From the Axium website: (which can be found here)

A MIXTURE OF CENTRALIZED AND DECENTRALIZED AMPLIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES ALLOWS AMPLIFIERS TO BE PLACED ANYWHERE ON THE NETWORK, SIMPLIFYING INSTALLATION OPTIONS.

AMPLIFIERS CAN BE LOCATED CLOSER TO ROOMS WHERE PLAYBACK IS WANTED WITHOUT  INTER CONNECTION CABLES.

THE 6 ZONE AMPLIFIER OFFERS SIGNIFICANT AUDIO OUTPUT POWER (110 WATTS PER ZONE) WHICH WILL DRIVE THE MAJORITY  OF INWALL - IN-CEILING  SPEAKERS OR BOOKSHELF-SPEAKERS TO THEIR LIMIT.

A  SMALLER 4 ZONE AMPLIFIER (30 WATTS PER ZONE) PROVIDES A COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR SMALLER ROOMS.

How to set up:

1) Upload the vfib into your FIBARO system

2) Configure the Axium_Server virtual device by inputting:

  • IP address: any axium amplifier
  • TCP Port: 17037
  • Hit Save

3) Use the Axium Server virtual device to discover the Axium system:

  • Press the Start button. The message will display: "Services Starting"
  • Once complete the message will display "Reload Needed"
  • Additionally, it will generate labels in the Axium Server with the status of each zone with a corresponding Axium Zone virtual device.
  • It will perform the creation of these after another minute since the Axium Server will be reloaded due to the addition of the zone labels.

NOTE: The webpage, therefore, must be refreshed in order to display the changes.

These virtual devices will need to be manually designated a room, but they will be functional as soon as the Axium Server has finished reloading.

For any zones that are not needed, the user may delete the label in the Axium Server virtual device that corresponds to it. The Axium Server will automatically exclude the zone and delete the virtual device in time.

There is Clear button which will remove all zones in case some significant Axium configuration changes have been made and the virtual devices need to be updated to reflect this.
